Gauges (water,oil,fuel)

(quoted from post at 09:31:43 02/07/10) Has anyone bought import gauges? they look the same and are 1/2 the price..

I've seen pictures of a few, and at first glance they DO look the same, but if you look very closely, there are some major discrepancies. If I don't want to pay the cost of the restoration quality replacement gauges, I will use the aftermarket, generic gauges.

Jerry at Evergreen Restoration is the only place to buy good quality gauges. 715-635-8629 or 715-520-7876.

No, I've tried the "import gauges" and they weren't accurite or reliable or exact replicas. No, I've been so dissatisfied with so much import stuff I try to buy domestic made stuff if possible...and pay the "royality" if the cost is higher.

If you don't care if they work, and the tractor will be kept inside (so water doesn't rust the mounting ring and ruin the face), go for it.
