Does anyone know what model tractor the industrial mf40 was copied after? I know that the mf20 is almost the same as a 135. The mf 40 is a backhoe with a gas eng. Thanks

The 40 is a heavy duty version with a hard nose. Engine is the same as a 135 Perkins gas but the 40 uses a manual shuttle or instant reverse trans. and full hydrostatic steering. Other than the engine and maybe the rear diff. it's not really based on an AG tractor. It's built as an industrial. Dave

MF 40 is based upon 135 orchard. If you want to break it down more-165 rear end and either the manual transmission or hyd reverser type. Perkins 152 diesel or gas same as 135 or 150. Front bolster from 165 or 150 with heavy duty front axle and hubs. And of course different sheet metal. Very good machine in my opinion.
