For the small but not miniature torch bottles and to be portable, which is what this unit is for. All i can find is the big ones. Any ideas (custom make one)

Also it must hold the bottles while it is bein loaded in a truck some units are great on a cement pad but try loading them.

maybe use someting along the ideas of a box dolly. But i would add low sides and somewhere higher up attach a chain to go around so they don't fall out. At least thats what the one my dad built looked like. Hope this is understandable and helps. Toby.

When I bought my torch, my first project was a cart. I still have it. All puddle welded using coat hangers for rods. I didn't have an arc welder yet.

(quoted from post at 00:01:01 02/04/10) I think you mean gas welded. Arc welding rods still have a puddle. Dave

I understood him....

Wanna tell us again about how hard it is when people are always correcting and/or badmouthing your plans and actions????

Get an old dolly and modify it a little. Cut a couple slices off a pipe that is a little bigger than the tanks and weld them to the plate to hold the bottoms. Ratchet strap the tanks to the frame, then add whatever goodies (toolbox, hose hooks, etc.) that you dream up.

Same as Teddy 52 , Built it out of old 1/2 " water pipe , man that galvanizing sure popped !! That was in '68 , still use it !!
