2520 Johndeere

Other than the obvious- suction screen, filter, moisture in oil, etc. I would first determine if your 2520 is old enough that it has the junk 2510 four cyl. pump.
Any further than that and the JD experts will have to chime in. If you haven't, you may want to post this on the JD forum.

As already suggested check sump screen,change hyd filter,then check stand-by pressure which should be 2250 psi. Also could be leaking rockshaft piston seal or thermal relief valve.
