From Ok to the east cost

Well many people maybe with out power from OK to the east cost. If you by chance know any one that might be with out power give them a call and check up on them. Ya you may not be able to help them as such but just calling them helps them get over things. I know because back in 2007 I was with out power for a week and friends from here called and it did help keep me from getting to depressed. So CALL them NOW
 
Tulsa dodged the bullet, Most of the large power outages are in western Oklahoma and understand all the line crews that were standing by here are headed that way. We didn't get near as much ice as they were predicting and only about 6 inches of snow. Suppose to get above freezing today and be in the 40's all next week so this white stuff won't be around for long.
 
In March 1958 we had our power off for over 2 weeks. It was a wet heavy snow about 36". They had to bring in frontend loaders to clean the secondary roads. It was so deep and with high banks there was no place to put the snow.

I saw your pics of of your vee plow. Looks like it did a good job. They brought in trucks from western MD with vee plows to plow the plow back then. My late dad made one from wood back in the 1940's and used the horses to plow out the driveway. We had to get that milk out since that milk truck never missed a day picking up that milk. Hal

We got between 4" to 5" here in Western West Virginia. I don't even plow drive way with that much just shovel walks . So far this winter have been lucky only had outage for 11 hours one time. didn't even bother to start power unit. Just got by with wood stove, fire place and oil lamps. We cook on the wood stove . Hope you have no outages and stay warm.
 
We got about 5 in yesterday here in South Jersey. Don't know of anyone without power.Temp was 13 this morning. Didn't do much outside other than clean off the truck and feed the peacock. Also fed the outdoor wood burner. Staying inside untill Monday AM.Then it's off to work.
