anti freeze is real toxic if you get a leak. lot of guys are running washer fluid. i personally run calcium chloride.

As Glen says anti freeze isn't all that good because if you get a leak and it is say out in the feed lot then you can/will end up with dead animals on your hands. Wiper fluid works good as do things like rim guard

Have seen it done before. If you get a leak you always run the hole to the top side to prevent as much loss as possible no mater what ballast you have used so you do not have to replace as much.

Washer fluid works well but do not use RV antifreeze. It is not toxic but it does freeze, it just does not expand when it freezes. Nothing like driving tires with a flat spot.
