How wet is it in your area?

Here in NC we went from a severe drought for about 3 years to mud everywhere. We got another 3 inches of rain Sunday night and we are supposed to get more this weekend. The weathermen don't know if it will be frozen, but apparently they are expecting a lot of precipitation.

Down here around Midland the ground is just plain sloppy wet. I don"t think anything else that comes down will even begin to sink in so anymore is bound to cause more flooding. As usual I"m not looking forard to the expected bad weather this weekend as the "locals" around here go crazy at even the mention of snow......

Here in South Eastern Ohio (Meigs County), the Ohio river is near or above flood stage with backwater in fields & some roads closed. Ground is saturated with snow on the way for this week end.

What Wesley, Wayne & DH said goes for Western SC
also. Midlands of SC also. Daughter near Columbia has driveway across creek that is dry most of the summer. Flooded and washed out gravel Christmas day, again last week.

i'm still haulin hay with the dozer...too wet for tractor in south central Tejas...last year it was so dry i was skeered to run dozer over gravel because of sparks startin a fire.

Well it's around zero temp, so 'wet' isn't the word for us, but we've had 40 inches of snow and 2 inches of rain this winter in southern MN, fall was pretty damp with endless small rains to soak up the ground before it froze.

Depends how it thaws, if the tundra thaws out & all this snow is to melt into the ground, or if the snow melts and runs off the ice first, and then the ground thaws?

April rains is always what tells the story 'here'.

But we are quite frozen and ample moisture for sure!

Yea, I'm in washington county. We've had about 3-4 years of drought summers and rather dry winters. Here in January we've had 3" of precipitation. With near single digits for almost 2 weeks, then rain and 50*, it made for fun feeding cows. Maybe its just making up for the last dry summers.

we had about three inches of rain Sunday, some of it over night, must have rained really hard as the driveway is really rutted up now. I am 30 miles west of Winston-Salem on us 421. expecting snow friday evening into saturday.

We are plenty wet in NW Iowa. It's not liquid yet and the 'puddles' are white and up to nine feet tall, but when the thaw comes our rivers and streams will be busy. Jim

Waiting on rain out here in west Tx. Cloudy all day. Could feel moisture in few minutes ago. Weatherman predicts 100% chance of rain tomorrow and friday.

we had tons of snow and very cold for all dec then 2nd wk jan well above freezing for wk. snow all melted but ground was froze so didnt soak in. now colder again so whole place is like a skating rink. southeast alberta

It's about as muddy as it can get here in west KY. Ground has not been dusty here since the second week of September and then there was moisture down 5". Ruts every one cut with combines this year are all standing full of water. Old spring on our farm that has not run in 20 years has a steady stream running down the hill now. I have some fence'n I need to get done this winter but the ground has been too wet or froze too hard since November.

Hard to tell rain gauge is full to the top with snow. Ended NE ILL in 09 about 12 inches above normal.

muddy, muddy and more mud here in north central KY and more
rain comin' this weekend. Can't really remember last sunny day or
week without rain. Everywhere that the cows go or tractor goes is
really getting torn up. Rain all over the 10-day forecast

We were unbelievably wet from September 08 through November 09,but we haven't had much snow this winter. Went about 2 weeks this month with no precip at all. I think the moisture is probably percolating away pretty good under the frost.

Was very dry again less than 1 1/2" since October. 1/4" of ice on stuff and 3 to 4" of blowing thunder snow now in NW TX could get 12" or more they say. Drought what is that ? It"s a way of life here seems like since 1990s and last 10 years as well here off and on. You have how many total crop failures there in last 10 years?

It is 11* here in Central Michigan , so not very wet here. In fact I seen a farmer out getting the last of his corn out of the field yesterday.
