Trying to locate 1951 Farmall H

I hope I am not trying the impossible! I am trying to find a 1951 Farmall H tractor that belonged to me Grandfather, Charles Durham. It was sold by me Step Grand Mother in 1995 or 1996 in Arrowsmith, IL. This tractor belonged to his father before him and was to go to my father after his passing. Well his wife sold it before his death while he was in a nursing home! I would love to be able to get this tractor back for me father. He is retiring this year and needs a project. I am in the process of gathering more info.
 

Sounds like my family. When my grandfather died the majority of the things that he said would go to me were sold before I could even get back to his house after his funeral. Luckily the tractors were too big to move that quick, but I sure wish I had his old gun collection. It's funny how sometimes family is the first to pull one over on you.
 
I feel your pain about the guns. My grandfarther told my mother that I was to have his guns. The day after his funeral my grandmother asked me if there was anything of pops that I would like to have. When I asked about his guns she said "o, your cousin got them yesterday,but,go ask if he would let you have a few. I asked my cousin about them,and,his reply was "they are mine, and, I'm keeping them".
 
Hi Chris: I'll suggest you place an newspaper AD in that town where it was sold (arrowsmith?) and say reward ($.?) just for locating it. Start with some kind of a reward, even if it's $50. Add, more details if they call you. Gotta start somewhere and local gosiph around a town can spread. The $50 goes to anyone that locates it. Once you have it located, the real dealing starts... Good luck... I've debated some on finding our family 1941 MD. They just used the current gas M serial numbers so I could not make a positive ID. ag
