What is the reason one cannot just pull them out of windows photo gallery and post them directly without having to put them in photo bucket or some progrom like that.

Hello pete 23,
You can upload right from your computer, and from any drive or usb.
Go to the advanced posting tools, click on upload photo. Next brouse your computer for the picture. Click on it. Click the upload tab. Once you see it uploaded, make sure you click on the continue tab.
Hit priview your reply, and post/submit and reply with this last click.

It has something to do with spammers and other things. If you go down to site comments chris will explain it,
