Made a left turn on the way home from town and she died, and won't start. It does not seem to have any fire, but my battery is low, although it cranks over at a good speed for a little while. I put the charger on it overnight. Anyone else had this experience. I am thinking of upgrading to an old truck that has plugs, points, and a carb. so I can fix it when it breaks.....

Didn"t happen to hit a bump in the turn did ya?

Might have tripped the fuel pump inertia switch located under RH side of dash under heater case.I"ve seen these melt too.

My 88 F150 died on me at a stop light once, turned out to be the ignition modual. Did it once in a parking lot too.

Could be the same thing for you.
