ANTIQUE 7000?

I took my Grandkids to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn yesterday. They have a John Deere 7000 6 row corn planter right in the middle of the antique farm machinery. It really sticks out, all painted up, with all the old looking tools around it. Sure doesn't seem like it's old enough to be called "antique" to me.

I hope its not an antique. We still use ours with our brand new 1967 Moline. Just Tryin to be that modern farmer but i guess not.

Introduced in 1974....antique is a bit of a stretch. Radical change in technology, controlling seed depth at the opener, instead of two or more feet behind. Everything since is copycat.
