John Deere 4020 Utility?

According to Jan/Feb 2008 Two Cylinder Magazine which listed production, the 4020 came in Row crop. Standard, hi crop, and the early ones in industrial JD600 and a few special standard. Late 4020 showed a few industrial along with row crop and hi crop.

I suppose the industrial may fit your definition of Utility. JD didn't appear to call any bu that name.

Deere made a 4000 utility or a row-crop utility or low-profile, how ever you want to look at it. The 4000 was a cheaper and lighter than a 4020 but built on the same platform.

I know there was a 3010/3020 utilty made cause I worked on one several years ago and have heard that its still around here somewhere.

A 4020 was never made into a utility.

A 4000 was, it is very rare, can't identify from serial number prefix, exept for the 25-30 made can be identified buy what serial number was when it came off the line

My nieghbor has a cheat sheet with the serial # of every 4000 'utility' made

If you think you might have found one, I can help you see if it is for real or not, email me

I have seen a couple 4020's dressed up to look like a utility, used the 3020 front end, rear tires and fenders

I bought a 4000 'utility' clone out of california last year, I knew it wasn't legite when I bought it, but the price was right, I am almost sure it got its utility parts from a real 4000 utility. Wish I knew where the donor tractor was, regardless of the shape.....

Good luck
