Depending on your age, that's perfectly normal.
When I was young, I knew just what I saw, where and when.
Now there's too much stuff cluttering my brain, just like any old attic, barn, etc. Most anything can appear, or disappear! And there's no telling when or why !

Yup, BTDT, too. Got to make sure I put everything back where it belongs and never set anything down or I spend lots of time backtracking trying to find it.

Last weekend I was putting some insulation in the well house. Set the utility knife and my shop keys down. Went to the house the get something, then needed to get into the shop. Couldn"t find my keys or the knife. Got another knife and finished the project. Eventually located the first knife and my keys. The time in between was frustrating.

Similarly, one of my favorite things is to buy some sought after part on e-Bay, only to be reminded later that I already had one.

At least you didn't REALLY loose something. We were working on a corn planter one time and couldn't find a fertilizer tube that we'd JUST HAD. Ended up buying a new one. Found the old one WEEKS later in a seed corn bag!

Know exactly what you're going through [b:654c4848f0]glennster[/b:654c4848f0].

Nancy has got me taking a supplement for improving my memory.

Can't remember the name of the supplement, but it seems to be working pretty good!

What was your question?

Looks like you did a nice job on that red tractor.

Did that when I was finishing my basement. Couldnt find my ratchet, looked all over and got to thinking. the last thing I used it for was running some lag bolts in for a support column. I had already run drywall up. Pulled down one sheet and there it was sitting up on the top sill.

That is why I feel the 3M sticky notes are the best thing even invented. Long as I remember where I stuck them.
Guess that's why I always put the truck keys in the same place when I walk in at night.

according to some research I just heard about if you tape a cell phone to your head it will help ward off Alzheimers and improve your memory.

well it worked on the rats anyways!

I think about the here after a lot lately. I'll walk into a run and think now what in the heck did I come here after?

Of course, once you found it, if it was not in the LAST place you looked, you have more problems...! Think about it!

I am thinking thay you suffer from the same problem that most older men suffer from.
There is no treatment for it, we just have to live with it,It is Call'd C-R-S
CANT REMEMBER Sh--,and then the wifes say we have S-L-H SELECTIVE HEARING, But the thing is we never
had these problem's untill we got married.
No thats not true: Just joking.
Not to worry my Good friend you will them days like that I know I do.
Have a good one and stay warm.

Hey glennster,
Told you not to try that Mexican Tequila when we were down in Texas - remember?

Just Kindin Jim

PS: At least the horses didn't beat us home!

Wait till you start hiding things for whatever reason. I have many things I have never seen again and other I probably don't know that I hid. ACE= alzheimers comes early. Polite for CRS. Other day it took me 5 minutes to recall my social security number. Remembered my Navy service number, but for 5 minutes, not SS#.

kruser, sure hope the howells are enjoying all them new horses!!!! kinda thinkin mebbe we shoulda dropped some extra hay off for them critters......nah, a few extra horses cant eat that much!!!!!

I will need a form called a NCR and decide to get a drink of water or go to the rest room while I am going to get the form. I then get back to my work area and discover that i did not get the form.
Mind like a steel trap.

Heard aboutthe same research, but how do you know if a rat has alzheimers? and also my rats are not allowed to use cell phones, would make it to easy for them to escape

I may also suffer that "here after"alment. After I was in bed tonight,I realized I had not took my medicine. I got up to take it and there was no spoon on the bed table so I went to the kitchen after a spoon. That is when I thought what did I come in here after. Wandered around for near 20 minutes before it came to me. Now I have my spoon ,,,,, , , , ,can any you folks tell me which way it is to my bedroom?

I always set things in "good spots" that I assume will be hard to lose. 6 months of searching later I give up and buy a new one, and within a week the "lost" item shows up. never fails.
