We always here how the market is so munipulated by the investors. But how come no one can figure out how they do it so we could beat them at their own game.

We are too busy trying to make a living and paying for the machinery, seed, fertilizer,insurance,int on bank loans and taxes plus are too honest.

Becuse they"re manipulated for them to make a profit and not based on reality.

You mean, like farmers getting united together & work as a group?

We all tend to be an independent type, and will beat our neighbor, rather than join together. I must say I tend to reflect that myself. I don't mean beat up my nieghobr, I just mean work harder, figure things out cheaper, figure out how to grow better crops, and in that way beat 'em.

It's what leads to cheaper & cheaper food, and that agriculture becomes under appreciated - we are successful.

Somehow stock markets have been let loose from any restrictions.They arent tied to supply and demand,only to greed.The manipulaters ran the markets to where they had over a year of stocks bought up,and then claimed shortage on stuff that wasnt even planted yet.Instead of fixing this problem,so many other greedy people are involved that they just leave it alone.Thats my idea on it.I might be off a little but it s in that general area.
I know somebody will probably have some complex bunch of crap to say about it,but from at least the early 1970s the CBT has been manipulating more and more the price farmers have beeen getting paid for crops.This is even admitted by Con Agra if you want to dig deep enough.Con Agra,Tyson and Cargil are the stock market.There are a couple others in there as well.If Con Agra and Tyson want cheaper chickens tomorrow,the price of chicken will go down.You can believe that.It will probably be a penny or 2 below what they ask for too.Now thats how close the stock market works with big business.If farmers are starving because Con Agra wont pay them a fair price,well he is just a farmer.He will go under and a better farmer will take his place.Farmers dont have any influence because they cant agree if its raining outside.Also its rigged so even if they did stand together they would get screwed because they dont have as much money to hire lawyers as the big companys.Big business acts as one big crooked monster.Farmers act as individual slaves.And thats how your "Capitalism and Free Market"works today.Nothing but less for the slaves and more for the paper pushers.

Its the same story as putting a frog in water and turning the heat up slow and before he knows it he is cooked.The crooks have been incrementally ruining agriculture for decades.At least since the late 1960s when Nixon was elected President.They kept the price of crops so low,and publicly admitted it,if you can find it,so "the United States is the low cost food provider to the world"right on the wall at Con Agra Headquarters in Omaha about 10 years ago.Con Agra isnt even the worst big company,but they sure had a communist viewpoint just like the rest of them.They sure will let you work for nothing and then get you bidding against each other to work for even less than nothing.Worked real well for them.They have bought thousands of businesses and closed them down or run them into the ground along with the rest of it.

This is also why you dont have any representation in Government any more.If you did you could farm 200 acres and make a living like you could in 1969.
Your corn would need to be about 8 dollars a bushel and beans about 24 dollars a bushel with the way everything else is,but nothing else is the right price either.If union wages are 25 dollars an hour that should be minimum wage.
Big time crooks worse than the mafia have ruined the United States.

Now I didnt say it was fair.I dont care what you do,if you sweep the street.If you work you need pay to reflect that you are working for a living,instead of working to be a beggar.Things would be a lot better if you could live on 7 dollars an hour,but the point I am making is that your wages do not reflect what you have to pay to live.Because of greed in among lots of things the stock market.Just like the stock market does not reflect the price of fertilizer,diesel fuel,price of land,price of machinery,like it did better before manipulation to keep commodities low priced.
Im real tired of the arguments to justify this ignorance.It needs balance.People work,they need fair pay,or next you will be a salve working for pennies a day,just like China.If the "stock market"has things so screwed up minimum wage needs to be 25 dollars an hour,all of your family values crap about paying somebody 7 dollars an hour is worthless.It takes big bucks to pay those stock market crooks.We need to charge them about 200 times more for everything now.Some stock market big shot needs a tire changed 4000 dollars wont get it done.Need Americans to work in your factory,200 dollars an hour each for labor.Want to move it out of the country?Thats fine but now you dont own the patents to your products,and you will train your replacement before you leave.Plus you will never sell anything again in the USA.Get tough,make the Government get up off its dead rear and do stuff for the people and quit coddling the crooks.The way to do that is make it extremely painful for them finacially.So what that you are a big shot paper pusher,10 million a month for your apartment.Heck all we need is a list of their names and social security numbers and we can ruin them just like they ruin poor working people daily.
Or you can put some laws in place to stop this crap and make them be enforced.

I do trade some stocks and yes its clearly not what a farmer would call an honest game. All markets today are run by insiders of all kinds, the only chance we have as outsiders is to notice what the move is and skim off what we can.

You can't use the words "farmers" and "united" in the same sentence.

Like trying to haul bullfrogs in a wheelbarrow.
