Don't know if it's just me, but sure seems like the "conversation" has picked up since James and Nancy got back on the "grid".
Might be the cold weather but hope you guys had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - nice to have you back!

yup kruser, good to see the Howell's are back!!!! kind of a shame we missed them when we were down there dropping off all them horses. sure hope we dropped em off at the right farm!!! course it was kinda dark and we had been drinkin a little.....

Thanks [b:654c4848f0]kruser[/b:654c4848f0] for the welcome.

Got all my scheduled farm/tractor projects done during the vacation.

Kinda glad to get back to work so I can get some rest.

We spent Christmas with Nancy's family in Wylie, TX.

Her mother celebrated her 88th birthday with all the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Nancy and I went out to dinner on New Year's Eve.

Glad to be back on the forum catching up on all the news.

I've got my eye on one RED tractor.

My dad bought a Farmall Super C back in the early 60's.

I've still got the bush-hog and disk that came with it.

My neighbor now owns the tractor and uses it to plow his truck patch.

One day I might try to get it back and I'll be very proud of the old tractor.

Glad you were drivin, cause after that beer and BBQ I guess I just took a nap. Next thing I knew it was January 2!

After that the cold, made me hibernate.

Don't worry too much [b:654c4848f0]glennster[/b:654c4848f0] about those new horses.

If they're not happy with their new home, I'm sure they know the way back to your cornfield.

Know a guy in Illinois that does a GOOD job on them RED tractors!

PS: My daughter wants one of the horses back.

Dunno,
It seems like wherever James and Nancy are that MostDaringJoeTreeFarm comes a crawling out of the woodwork and then all heck breaks loose.
Was almost peacefull around here lately.
Just kidding now...
Welcome back to the Howells

Thanks [b:654c4848f0]Ultradog MN[/b:654c4848f0] for the welcome.

I agree with you that it's nice and peaceful, the way it should be, on the forum.

I've been watching the Winona Daily News obituaries and police blotter; so far nothing to report.

Thanks for the welcome back.

We didn't have so many projects scheduled that we had to work every minute. Good thing, 'cause we're still having wet weather at the farm and some days were down right chilly.

On the sunny days, I hooked up the horse trailer drove over to Cass County Park and went riding.

On the cold wet days, James stretched out on the couch and I sat back in my recliner. We watched the football games and napped. Kept a fire going in the fireplace most of the time, sure felt good.

After two weeks at the farm, it was hard to go back to the insanity of Dallas.

Thanks again for the nice welcome back.

The twins are fine, they just ain't together. The momma while she did "take" both, she was really favoring one and didn't have much milk. The bigger one she wasn't keeping as close of an eye on I gave to my little cousin who raises bottle caves and he is doing fine for him. The one here is growing off great and is the same size as calves born the same week.
