Gas Cap

I have JD 90 skid loader that"s missing a gas cap. OEM cap $28 from JD. Any generic caps out there that would fit for less? It"s quite small. For now a plastic "Heat" bottle is keeping it covered.

I have a JD 70. I would guess it is the same as yours. Mine had a different gas cap on it when I bought it and it looks to be a basic cap. I think you could take dimention and find one but I really don't know where. Perhaps tractor salvage yd.

Go to the counter at your local NAPA, ask them to cross reference.

Can you cut off a pipe with cap from an auto salvage yard and mount it on the JD? Caps vary a lot, hard to match.

I tried the local NAPA with no luck, but then again it is a small store and he new guy there) only looke at what they have in stock. They are a small store and usually very accomodating, I might have to talk to the boss there. I tried looking around on the web hoping to find something with no luck. On cap manufacturer Stant"s website I find 90 skid loader but that"s where it ends. The plastic bottle fits & works really pretty good though, might have to stay that way. Thanks for the responses.

Try an auto salvage yard. I lost the gas cap to my 2n. Looked thru a handfull of AUTO gas caps that I had and found one that fit perfectly.
