Has anyone here owned one and what are the good and bad points?
I am looking at one with axle duals & FWA. What are the things to look at?
Please tell your stories!

Well, no one else has replied yet, so I'll give you what little I do Know. It probably has the 426 cu. engine. They throw rods. More than the other brands. I've seen more than one or two with a hole in the block sitting in the dealer's shop. The Allis mechanics around here tell the owners to replace the rod and main bearings every 3000 hours, change the oil religiously and everything will be fine. My neighbor has a well maintained 8000 hour 7060 with this engine and he's never had an engine problem, but he's had the bearings changed twice just as a part of his maintenance program. One mechanic's version of the cause of the problem is the block spreads lengthways so oil pressure is released out of the front and rear mains. That's the only major chronic problem that I know about. Jim

Thanks for your reply. I knew the engine was a weak point in this series but for a deere or 88 series red, too much money.
