Mud, gravel & snow build up & pack in like cement on front axles including rubber boot covers on cv joints. Hard freeze at night makes all debris freeze to boot covers and will tear boots to pieces when starting to drive following morning. Not possible to clean when temp is already below freezing. Surely someone has a solution for this problem other than moving to Florida.

CV boots torn to pieces??? I have a Dodge truck so don't have that problem, but we also have an 03 Durango with original boots. There are lots of Chev's and FWD cars that spend 4-5 months / year packed with mud, gravel and ice around the front axle up here, but I've never really heard about this. Certainly never heard of cleaning the ice off....that would be impossible here. We just drive them.
