cork carburetor floats

I have cork Floats from old carb what can I treat the cork with so it will not soak up and sink??

"Model airplane dope" is what they use in vintage outboards. Hobby shops have it.

The classic treatments will come off with gasoline containing ethanol and make a real mess in the carburetor passages. Sealall sticks just fine and is impervious to fuel. I've had that on a cork float in my MF-135 gas tank for probably 12 years now.
