Ive done this job before, but its been 12yrs.I cant break free the allen screws that hold the cover to pull the hub for a break job(new rotor).I tried a little heat, but the selector switch(locked and free) is plastic and wants to melt.Ive never sucessfully broke a bolt and drilled it out in my life. What do I do now?

Thanks
Stan

Before you melt the hubs, just go ahead and drill the head off the bolts, easy to do, then the hub just pulls off, then you can get the screws out.

I assume the screws will be sticking out after I pull the cover and I can get at them with vicegrips?

Use a brass punch & hammer & smack each one at least 3 times. Take off the loose ones & do it again to the tight ones. Hit them square on top of the head like you are trying to drive them in deeper.
