Let's see, with a Moniker like BCnT, and a statement about too dry, then too wet, sounds like you just might be in Texas!!! I personally have never seen it as wet as it is out here where we live. Father-in-law, and wife say it has been this way, but a long time ago. I'm not complaining too much, as we had NO rain this past summer. We have stock tanks, just about any place you look, and that includes our driveway, and yard!! I don't always put too much into extended forecasts, but the Farmer's Almanac said we would have a cold and wet winter in this area, and so far they've been correct. I'm glad you were able to get the tractor out with out too much trouble, and have hay to feed. Merry Christmas
 
this is actually the closest to "normal" winter we've had down here in awhile...i'm about 40 miles south of La Grange,Tx...been feeding hay for almost 2 years now...hoping to get a break this year...if not...i'm done with cattle...just cant afford to keep throwin good money after bad.
