Hello: I would like to know if i remove the bottom raditor hose on a 861 powermaster ford will the water drain from the block enough it will not freeze?

Thanks DJ

The lower radiator hose runs up to the water pump... and there is a fair ammount of water/coolant in the block below that level. I would open the drain on the block, if there isn't any/enough antifreeze in the water to protect it from freezing.

That is a yes, no or maybe thing. Question is why don't you have anti-freeze in it in the first place so as not to have a problem. My self I would drain the system, then fill with anti-freeze and then start it up and run it till warmed up and then I would know it is ok for the winter and be on the safe side
