Be travelling through this weekend and just curious does anybody know if smokes are still cheaper in Missouri and if they are those fire safe kind or not? Thanks.

Buy em cheap, you will need to save your money for the chemo treatments, I have three buddies in chemo right now that knew the smoking would never get to them. Quit now and you may have a chance!!!! There, thats my high horse speech for the day!

Fellow who I usta know slightly back in the 70s, divorced and moved outa state. He was in the news last week........caught flying coffin nails from a 'low tax' state to a 'high tax' state. Had $20,000,000 worth in a warehouse; they confiscated a twin-engine plane, several luxury automobiles, etc. He's looking at a loooooooooooong prison sentence.

Amen to that, dying from smoking is a horrible death. And just think you have to pay $5/pack to kill yourself.....S....l....o....w...l..y.

Don't know about the smokes but eveything else is cheaper. Gas, farm equipment, trucks and other things are. I know a lot of guys run to Missouri to buy a truck sometimes at least 5 to 10 thousand cheaper than what they can get them for around here. A while back went on a road trip to the Bass Pro. On the way back needed gas and regretted not stopping a mile back before we crossed the border. It would have been quite a bit cheaper.

My father was a life-long smoker. When he was 71, he was diagnosed with cancer of the larnyx. They cured the cancer, but had to remove his voice box in the process.

He lived another 14 years, but the only way he could talk was to hold an electronic gadget next to this throat. It was a mechanical sound, and he was unable to control the volume. He declined to talk on the telephone unless it was an absolute necessity. Smokers don't realize how much fun they have to look forward to.

I'd already quit long before.

Quit July 4, 1976. Would probably be dead--or worse--by now. Smoked close to three packs a day. They were $3.25 or so a carton!

Come on guys. A cigar now and then? Why not?
Shoot...there are more folks down here getting run over by drunks and idiots on cell phones that a smoke now and then.
I know it's not the best for ya...and it "may" cause problems down the road, but the A&*H@#E driving drunk will get you much faster. Can't turn on the news here and not hear about at least 1 or 2 people a day getting killed by a drunk.
