So how is it where you are?? Don't have enough snow here to worry about the snow plow but boy for the area it sure is cold and windy. Saw on the noon weather that in Iowa they are parking the snow plows because the snow is to deep for them to plow it right now and it just keeps drifting back on the roads

Nothing but snow flurries today hear in southern MO. But very windy and bloody cold! Started working on an addition to our hayshed last week. Getting the last of the posts in the ground today, trying to beat the cold tonight.

Here in N.E. Iowa we got 13 inches of new snow, wind blowing 20-40 mph, good day to catch up on book work.Still some corn in the fields around here yet, don't know how that is going to end up for some people.

There's a blizard warning for the first counties to the west of us through Friday morning. Not too bad here yet. A lot of wind overnight but only about 3 inches of snow. Trouble was,it had turned to drizzle this morning and there's so darned much mud underneath of it. When you're on solid ground, the stuff turns right to ice under the tires, get out where its soft and you're pushing wet snow ahead of the mud and can't get to the round bale feeders without tearing things up even worse. Temperature is supposed to drop like a rock. I just hope it does it BEFORE we get a lot of snow that keeps the ground from freezing.

Not bad here in NW Wisconsin, 10 degrees or so, got about 3 1/2 inches snow last night. Supposed to stay cold here now for a couple weeks. About 10 above during the day and 5 or 10 below at night , but it is December, and ice fishing is just starting. The boys have been on the local lakes now for about a week, but I like just a wee bit more ice than they do. Just 14 days and the days start getting longer! :>)

Ya I know how it is, better you then me doing that work out side. I need to get that rear end put in my Chev truck but I'm going to wait till the wind lets up and it warms a tad bit. My shop has a wood stove but with this wind lighting it up would be almost like lighting up a fire out side and trying to heat the whole out doors that way

Wichita Ks.,.received a little freezing moisture yesteday...nothing else but cold here, and windy, nothing above 17 deg.....

Colder than a well-digger's a$$.

Nine inches reported here in my part of NW Iowa. Roads aren't too bad but the visibility isn't the best. Winds are 30-40 and temp is +3. Don't have many drifts and they're in the 1 or 2 foot range. There's a five footer out by the cattle shed but it's not hurting anything out there. Jim

Western Washington is having an "Artic Blast", as weathermen call it- big high pressure system pulling air down from the Yukon. 6 degrees this morning (All time low here is about 0). Bright and sunny, supposed to snow this weekend. We get these maybe once a winter- normal low temp on a clear nite is mid to upper 20's, but usually cloudy, rainy and about 40-45 on most winter days. Ideal conditions for heat pump systems, but they're struggling to keep up now.

+10 degrees on the thermometer, wind chill is about -20 with 30 mph winds. 12 to 15 inches of snow, and drifts up to 15 feet reported in some areas. More roads are closed than are open, and that includes the entire state of Iowa AND major portions of the interstate system. If you were thinking about traveling in Iowa, forget it, it ain't gonna happen.

Fairly cold here in Houston. Got down to about 70 today. Sometimes for a short moment I invey you guys that get to push around snow with your tractors. We are still mowing.

James has it right. Temp inside my truck this morning when I got in it was 28 with a 10 mph north wind. It will be the second time in less than a week that we will be in the low 20"s overnight. Good thing is we"re not getting any precip. Dallas shuts down at even the thought of winter precip.

This may not be cold for you folks up north, but for us its chilly and the wind is supposed to pick up to 20 - 25 mph today. Wind has a real bite to it.

It"ll be a good evening to cook up some soup, pull on the sweats, light the big heater and park in front of the tv.

Sound good to you, James?

Roads bladed out yesterday, blowed shut today. Ten inched is not bad if wind would let it stay where it fell. All morning trying to get to one pasture to feed. Had to get pulled out from middle of road. They will have to wait till tomorrow. Hope wind dies down.

It is 16 degree here in east central Oklahoma with a strong wind. I will just set and play with computer..I have had my days of that cold weather.

18* here with winds in the 40-45 mph range. Got about 11" of snow last night (on top of the 24-36" of powder we had on the ground) and supposed to get 13" more by tomorrow morning, then snow through the weekend. No roads closed or anything, but our plow trucks are 4x4 with front blades, front end loaders, and road graders.

2nd snow that stuck, the ground is wet, no frost yet in sod/grass areas, today's wet snow, real easy to pack and roll up a snowman type, lot of cars off the roads, 1st storm always does that around here.

It's funny how nothing ever gets any easier, gee why is the walk behind blower so hard to operate, pushing up a mound to one side, won't go up hill, 850 LPG tractor is frosting up the vaporizer, car won't make it out of the drive way, LOL !!!

Some fool (that be me) forgot to put a shear bolt in on one auger, antifreeze was low in the 850, maybe it's not circulating warm water through the vaporizer, (have yet to figure that out, not that cold out, never did this unless it was in the teens) got the car out, got some LP for the little 44000 btu lp heater, put that on the tractor, ran for awhile, started frosting again, ok, tomorrow is another day... time for some hot soup and a cold beer, a harpoon winter warmer at that too ! :)

Boy, I'd take that +28 and 10 mph wind and love it. Took wife to work this morning (I am on vacation) +3 with 30 to 40 mph winds (wind chills of -20 to -25) and visibility of about 50 to 75 yards. It is still cold as all get out but the visibility is good and the roads clear. I beleive we'll have a white Christmas.
