ford powerstroke taking oil

at work we have a 1995 ford powerstroke that will take 2 quarts of in 180 miles starts good when its cold has good power dont seen to smoke much mabe turbo out of it

It could be a turbo, but I would suspect injector o-rings. The oil runs between 1500 to 3500 psi and the fuel only at 40-120. When the o-rings fail the oil gets injected with the fuel. Conversely, when the turbo fails, it leaks oil into the exhaust downpipe... My turbo did not last long when this happened... We are talking days... I ran the entire Hot Rod Power Tour with bad injector o-rings!

It sounds likely that your injector o-rings are toast. Try popping your fuel filter out, if the fuel has become black then you've solved the mystery of the disappearing oil. Sam

we did it was black as you could get i gs that is the probem we had to change it cause it died on us thanks

I have re-sealed injectors on several powerstrokes with no problems--recently did a '95 & still much engine oil going to fuel--am sending all injectors to diesel pump shop--they tell me internal seals can cause it.
