You asked what kind of seat should be on that 48 70. That one probably should have had what I always called a ridgid ride seat. It would have had a steel back and a flat steel bottom with an innerspring type of vinyl covered cushion. You see a few now and then with either a pan seat with the fleetline style of suspension (these were made available from the dealer after they became standard on the fleetlines) or an aftermarket Joy Rider seat. Those had a long pipe that went up and mounted over the cultivator lift,then had a large coil spring under the seat pan with a shock absorber on the back. As for where to get one,bone yard somewhere. FYI,the pan seat from a fleetline (66 77 88) won't fit. They mount different to the tractor.
