Ok folks.. I have a skid loader that has a motor tag on the motor. I have no idea what the engine is. Its not the original. Is there a place I can go to put these numbers in to see what this engine is so I can get parts or rebuild??

The motor tag has these numbers and looks like this:

C3JE7-5
6
000062604

Ive been looking only thing I can get is it maybe a Renault 1.4l, 1983-87 model?? Any info would be GREAT!!

Thanks

I think,acording to the tag youve got,its an 8th time rebuild from an Essex Tri-Directional. Hoss {Not to be confused with the Essex-class Tri Directional steamship}

Well, C3JE7-5 does seem to bring up a bunch of Renault hits...
It"s just a guess, but if it"s a 4cyl OHV, check the Teledyne-Continental line of Renault or Renault designed engines on midamericapowercenter.com. (Check anyhow; I don"t know if the whole line was OHV or not).
Good luck.

If it's a Renault engine/Continental "R" they were discontinued and parts are very expensive. Warped heads were a common problem. Continental should be able to confirm if you have one or not. If it is an "R" engine and needs rebuilding, it might be a lot cheaper to put an original type engine back in. What kind of skid steer is it? Dave
