Final Field work

In looking ahead at the 10 day forcast I think the ground might freeze up on Wednesday. So Tue. I will try to put on the final 16 acres of anhydrous. Got rained out last week with inch and a half of rain. If it is still to wet on Tue. I will side dress the 16 acres next summer. That is the preferred method for me but I have so many other things going on that time of year that I like to get it out of way in fall. Oh this is in So. central Mn. How are the rest of you coming? Getting everything buttoned up for winter?

I got 30 or so acres of cornstalks to plow, going tough but got a few acres plowed this afternoon. Kinda busy Tuesday & some odds & ends to do on Monday, so I hope Wed or Thurs still work. Gotta pick the times of day to plow, either dry middle or frozen dark of nite.

Not too far from you.

Saw a combine JD 7700 or 7720 - stuck this morning in a cornfield, looks like that might be a wet one, probably would leave it until it does freeze.

No plowing here in SE Iowa. It's to wet. It will have to freeze fairly deep to get traction then I'm afraid it will be froze to deep to plow.

I have broke disk blades before on the disc chisel. It wasn't this wet then.

got done with corn sat. night, last batch is in the drying bin, stirator is giving problems (todays job) going to try to plow about 20 acres of stalks, cows are on stalks maybe no-till beans into them as it sounds like cold weather is coming to end fall tillage
