Am leaning toward a Case 440-450 or 70xt-90xt. Plan on useng this machine for brush clearing, terrace repairs and general all around farm work including loading hay(1200lbs). What is the difference between high flow and a regular one and can you tell by looking at it? Any pros or cons about these machines that you may have would be great.

You could do much worse than Case. The series had some rare electrial issues with the interlock system but overall pretty good stuff. The high flo will not be an issue unless you have some attachments that require 35 GPM, such as a cold planer for tearing up the surface of asphalt or such heavy duty equipment. The hi flo is switched so the regular flow is available till a switch is pushed to access hi flo. There are some issues with the way Case did the hi flo (crappy engineering) on these machines but they will not affect most users so I won't get in depth about that, overall good hard working machines. mEl

High flow machines usually have large size hoses coming down the boom and often 3 of them instead of 2. The third is for motors with a case drain. High flow gives higher flow and higher pressure for certain attachments that wouldn't work properly without it. Cold planers, brush cutters, some snow blowers and a couple other attachments. Unless you need these types of attachments, you don't need high flow. Why limit your search to Case, there are several good machines out there. Dave
