Yep i went and bought a tractor. Was made an offer i couldn't refuse. I bought an M nothing fancy, no wide , no 3 pt, plain jane M. It's in good shape , not bought from a jockey, not painted. Looks like they used it everyday.
So i decided that since my money will be almost useless after the current admin get done with us . I figured do it now...LOL
I will probably end up in jail anyways cause i won't buy their health insurance.....
Guess it might be time to start reloading a few rounds and keeping them handy.....
So i think this is a 1950 model. I need a 3 pt for it for sure. What do thoses thing run used? new?
Oh yeah here comes the rain again.....
Thanks guys, gals

i bought a three point from saginaw county tractor parts in michigan. about 700 out the door, complete with cylinders. real nice heavy duty unit.

did u guys hear about the new reloading components? supposidly the primers and powder are made to where if they are not used in a certain time frame they become unusable. i hope that is not true. that should be a good tractor for ya. youll have some fun with it. just keep a good hold on that steering wheel!

(quoted from post at 19:24:55 11/24/09) Do you ever say anything that doesn't include politics? It wears on a fellow.

Huh ??? This was business decision made upon what i think the future is to bring!!!!
I just pointed out why i decided to buy the tractor now!!! Since you have read my posts you will notice that i have been talking about buying a tractor for some time now. Specifically an M.
I'm sorry if you mistook it for the P word......
In fact i see that i might look into some live hyds for it also. How good is the belly pump on these things? Just need the 3pt for a bale spear just to move out of a shed into the yard..
Thanks for the replys from all

I picked up a 3pt. at the consignment for 75 bucks. No cyl. and no arms but its on the tractor now and works fine. Look around, the're out there. The belly pump is ok for moving bales.

A new 3 pt with the cylinders, hoses and shipping ect will set you back about $1000.00. Used price ??????????? I like the one that lets you use the M's original drawbar. If all you are using the 3 pt for is to move hay an old front end loader such as a Farmhand F10 with grapple can be had for scrap iron prices. Of course then you are dealing with the M not having power steering.

Naw i'm gonna just go with the 3 pt . I have a 3 pt sprayer also. Maybe a little plowing also, although my ford 861 does a fine job for that. Thanks for the input all...
