I had adjusted it when it first started not holding back. I dont remember if that helped it or not. Thats been a year , and over a year ago. BUT, when I had the clutch plate repadded, I did adjust it. It only takes around 4/6 notches in adjustment from too soft to to hard, but either way, it will not hold back and lock in
