My 34 CC Case, when I pull out on the clutch, it wont lock in. I finally took it apart. I had new pads put on the clutch, put it back together, and it still didnt work. Ive been told that it might be in a worn cone in the clutch. Whats your idea? Its got now good pull, and it had before also, but I had to hold the clutch handle back to finished plowing 2 yrs ago, I knew I couldnt do that again this year.

what about the adjustment? you say you took it apart and put it together, you need to adjust it also so it snaps in.

I can't help you with the Clutch but i am glad some one still has one of these old tried and true CC Case's. My first Tractor I ever bought was a Farmall B and my second one was a '34 CC Case with a Chevrolet Truck Axle up front to make it a wide front, the cut off flat spokes were welded to rims and it had rubber all around. Steered real well and I farmed with it for several years until a DC wide front caught my eye. Nevertheless the old girl got a needed rest then.

Go to the Case forum section on here and they can help you a lot on this, It most likely needs to be adjusted.

When it first started not holding back, I did adjust the clutch. It seemed to help for awhile. Yes, I adjusted it when I put it back in. It takes only say 6 notches from being too loose, to being where I couldnt pull the clutch back. Either loose or tight, Nothing changed the fact that it wouldnt hold back.
