It was time for the old girl to go back to work. Other tractors were busy, time for pulling the disc/chisel on Saturday. Very nice and warm day. Not so much today, 1" of rain so far. She seemed to pull better the longer it went. Anyone else have some Oliver pictures working this fall? I want to see more of that 2150 4WD with a Cummins I see every once in awhile.

Hey, you need to post this on the Oliver Site, it will look there also. By the way how wide is your disc/chisel? There are some pictures of Olivers working on the Oliver site, plowing 1950,2050, picking corn 1755, 1855.
What part of the country are you located?

Thanks Larry

Those Olivers certainly can grow on ya, is that a 3208 CAT or similar stuffed in there ?

As little as I know about Oliver tractors, sure looks great, that kind of motor sure was noisy in the Ford Louisville tandems I drove many years back, but with a 13 spd, they performed well, for what many called a throw away motor, the 3208 or earlier series of same that is. One of the other drivers used to say the same thing after a good run, seem to improve, meaning not good to let these idle or run em lightly. I've had em run backwards after stalling, always wondered how they were in tractors doing work like this one is.

billy im going to be honest and say although i dont know how well regarded the 3208 was regarded in other fields but in agriculture the 3208 was a great engine. The oliver 2255 is known for the 3208 and how well that engine runs. I think it is also used in a white 2-180.

And that sure is a nice tractor. I like the straight pipe on it too. What size disc you have?

I thought they were ok in those trucks, knew some ag tractors used em, but never knew much about how they performed in those application, they must have a pretty good torque range with the right transmission behind it for ag work. As I recall, they also seemed to run pretty clean too, would be nice to run one like in the photo to compare and experience it, largest tractor and disc I've run is a 4440 JD w/duals and a late model JD 17'-0" wide heavy disc, what a monster compared to my old ford and 3 pt disc.
