I was reading the disussion yesterday on Ag vehicles, weight, length width
etc. I found a document from the PA Farm Bureau that may help with some of the questions that were raised.

Size; Implements of Husbandry up to a width of 11ft may be driven, hauled, or towed on highways other than freeways between sunrise and sunset if used to haul produce or forage crops.

An Implement of Husbandry width of 14'6'' may be driven, towed, or hauled on highways other than freeways between sunset and sunrise and between farms owned or operated by the owner of the implement but no more than 50 miles.

CDL requirements; A cdl is not required for a driver who is operating a
registered or exempt farm vehicle whose GVWR is over 26,000 pounds and whose trailer is 10,000 pounds GVWR or greater as long as the vehicle is operated according to the restrictions that apply to farm vehicles and is operated within a 150 mile radius ot the farm.

Length; No vehicle may exceed a length of 40 ft or 60ft for combinations.
There are no exemptions for farm vehicles. A trailer may not exceed 53ft.

More info can be obtained from the PA Farm Bureau's Web site
