Farm Pro Questions

This is my first visit to your site. I just bought a Farm Pro 2420 2wd 2006 ser.# 3362 and the seller had no manual. So I have made though most of the fluid changes except I can not find the drain plug for the hydrolics. Transmission and hydrolics fluids show signs of water intrusion. And do all of the hydrolic hoses need to be drained too? I ordered a Tractor Operation manaul not much help. Can anyone shed some light on this dilema.
Thanks DD

I'm not familiar with that tractor but I think it's made in China. Most tractors made in the last 30-40 years have the hydraulic and transmission oil the same. The transmission acts as a resevoir for the hydraulic system. If you have changed the transmission oil you have probably changed the hydraulic oil also.

As for draining the hydraulic lines, I don't but it's not a bad idea. However, the amount of oil in them will be very small.

You might try looking up Chinese tractor forums. Also could do a search for compact tractor forums which might have a section on that make of tractor.

Thanks for the reply but I drained the transmission fluid out and there was still fluid in the hydrolic reservior. I will try other sites
