Tire size

I have 235 85r 16 tires on my pickup. I found a tire on craigs list which is a 8.75r 16 How much difference are the two tires? I go to the tire size calculator, but can't find the 8.75 16 tire. Thanks for any help. stan

I think you'll find the 8.75 tire is 16.5" not 16" Jim

A 235 is 235mm wide or 9.25".... so the 8.75 is a bit narrower. The aspect ratio is also different. the 235 is a taller tire by quite a bit.
