JD 50 Brakes

I have the brakes apart on my 1954 JD 50. I have cleaned everything and riveted new shoes onto my hardware. My question is, should I use any synthetic grease on the adjusters and the piston? Maybe just enough to keep them from corroding? Or, some anti-seize? I just don't want them to lock-up. I have done a lot of trucks and cars, but never any tractor brakes. Would it be better to leave them dry? Any help or suggestions will be appreciate.
