Case 1370 PTO not working

The PTO on my Case 1370 will not stop turning. The lever appears to be working OK. Looks as if it could be the cable or something internal. Any ideas?

May have a broken cable from lever to pto.I think it has a brake controled by lever

The brake is spring loaded so there are several things that could be wrong. One would be a worn pad, two a broken spring, three is the cable needs adjustment and isn't seating the valve completely and allowing oil pressure to the pto clutches, or four and most likely is you have warped clutch plates and they are engauging the pto all the time rather than just free wheeling.

The clutch plates are probably warped. I'n not too familiar with the Case 1370. However, to replace the clutch plates looks like a big project. Hope I'm wrong. Any suggestions?
