Stupid deer hunters

I was working on a tractor in the field Friday. Same field where I sometimes feed the deer. Two hunters show up making all kinds of noise. Tell me to leave because I am scaring all the deer. So I move the tractor across the road to a section where hunting is not allowed. Go back and get my truck and me and the deer leave. Should have seen the look on their faces. When they saw me working and all the deer around my truck. Not bad for a dumb ole country hick.

I have a friend who lives on a back road and she fed the wild turkeys twice a day for years. She would have 25=30 turkeys around her. A couple of years ago she was in the feeding process when a car stopped on the road, fired several shotgun shots at the turkeys, ran up and grabbed two dead ones and took off leaving the wounded and the woman in complete shock. Now here husband sits under cover down by the road with a deer rifle to cover her and the turkeys. This in NC near GA line. Henry

It was a customers land. But I knew what was going to happen when I left. My truck means safety and food to a lot of the deer around that section of woods. These kind of hunters show up all the time. With their trailers full of four wheelers and gear. Enough chrome on their trucks to blind you. Then they run all over the place making noise. Then they hang out at the cafes and feed store complaining about not seeing or getting any deer. Working on a tractor last year. When some idiot shot out the windows in the cab. Because he was bored. Be glad when they all leave

Deer season is a 4 month affair in this area. Gun and dog season starts in Oct. and runs till Jan. 1st with bow season starting earlier. We don't have too much problem with hunters causing trouble, except for a few "snipers" who come from a neighboring county. Most of them have been scared off though. Most hunting clubs pay pretty steep lease fees and sort of police themselves. We rent out the hunting rights to our 1300 acres, and we don't have trouble out of the club.

Funny you should mention dog . I learned that they use dogs to hunt deer in Florida.

Up here in Pa we see a dog ruinning deer It's just cause to shoot it, the dog I mean.

Dog hunting is a lot of fun. Still hunting is boring to me after a while, but I do it a good bit anyway. Dog hunting requires a pretty big group of people.

I can't understand some deer hunters today.

Jeesh, they plant corn, special grasses, spray deer attraction scents etc. I call it faux hunting.

It's almost as if these guys are too lazy(more likely too fat) to go out and actually hunt a deer like the old days.

Our deer blind is made up of 2 chairs under a big tree surrounded by bushes on the end of our coastal field. Girl friends brother shot his first deer this weekend. When I took it over to get processed yesterday they kept asking me what we fed them. He was a big buck.
