Tractor hours

How would a person know what is low to high hours on a gas and deisel tractors. Some say low and some say average etc....
Just looking for opinions and facts.

Thanks in advance

There is no set # for several reasons: type of maintenance done, loads applied, and engine model and accessories or extra power optional things like turbos, cranked up fuel, or nitrous injection!
If it is a diesel engine with a good reputation, and not abused or tweaked, should be approximated that from 0 to 3000 hours is low hours, 3000 to 7000 for medium hours, and from 7000 to 12000 for high hours.
If gasoline, Low hours is 0 to 2000 medium from 2000 to 4000, and high from 4000 to 7000.
The Propane/LNG spark engine might be 1000 hrs more in each category.
These are certainly not fixed in stone, but to be fair there are engines that can make twice these numbers in certain operating conditions, and others that will make less than 1/2 of it before toast.
