I started my tractor yesterday and white smoke (looked like steam) came out for about 45 seconds and than everything was fine. It had not done that before. Any explanations?
Thanks

Could have been condensation due to cool temperatures, I'd be monitoring the coolant and the crankcase oil for cross contamination of each other, for say a potential head gasket leak etc.

How wet is it where you are?? How long had it been since you had run it last?? Has it been getting warm during the day and cool/cold at night??
If you say yes it has been wet, been a while since I ran it and yes it has been getting cool at night then most likely it is condensation and you have no problems

Yep very common with these old tractors and the way thing have been where I live if one doesn't start and have white smoke I pretty much figure something it wrong
