Kudos to you fellows from Iowa.
I made a whirlwind round trip to Omaha Ne today.
Down I-35 to Des Moines then took I-80 west.
Beautiful, sunny day.
Have driven that route many times before but not in a number of years. I thought of you guys here from Iowa. Wondered if I passed close by to your farms.
I saw the state with a better understanding of farming after having read these forums for a few years.
You guys work hard. You have beautiful farms and vast, vast acreages of corn and beans. The breadbasket of America.
Rolling hills that are hard on gas mileage but lovely to behold. And a thousand places I wished I could sit with my rifle come deer hunting season.
It seemed more beans have been harvested than corn. But most of both are still standing in the fields. Did not see a Single tractor/combine working the whole day. Though I did see a few machines standing in the fields.
With my untrained eye it seemed you will have a good harvest. I hope you do.
Also saw all the wind turbines. Miles and miles of wind farms. I never knew so many existed.
Just wanted to tell you IA guys I was proud and impressed to have you as a neighbor, partner, fellow State.
