Does anyone know where the shift pattern on a farmall m goes?

im pretty sure its the same as a farmall H so i think it goes up to the left is Reverse, bottom left is 1st, striaght up is 2nd, third is straight down, fourth is all the way to the right and up and fifth is down all the way to the right

I thimk he means the decal. I think it is located on the fuel tank

yes, all the diagrams for gear seclection have be on the right side of fuel tank

I've seen more of the shift pattern decals located on the left side headlight bar than I've ever seen located on the gas tank, so that's where I put them. The original specs were drawn up before lights and electrical systems became factory installed options, so maybe the upgraded specs never made it into the records, or maybe it was never an official change. I really don't know, but I did grow up driving those Hs and Ms, and I spent a lot of time on them.
