hi guys and gals you too john--- I have a jonsered chain saw, no mdl on it, only a T cast in the housing-- looking for any info and or a manual--having carb prob. it is a tillotson with HK 235 148 numbers on it--need to know the # of the kit and what is the best thing for cleaning the carb.. if any of you know what model it is,year of mfg, etc, please email me at, [email protected]

A good chainsaw parts man should be able to get you a kit, similar carbs were used on many different saws over the years. While you have it apart, change the fuel line and pulsation line if it has one, they don't seem to last 10 years!

In looking in the book there are no hk-235 for jonsered there is a hk-23 followed by a letter. This carb fit 510sp and 520sp these would be 3cu in saws 20-25 years old kit # rk-32-hk.

to fredin MO thanks your right the 23 is followed by an F or poss. an E hard to read this sight has saved us a lot of head aches thanks again-- what book did you find this in and can I get a copy-- funny tillotson or jonsereds did not kinow this, or don't care about taking care of their users thanks again do you know where a kit can be bought

thanks I have already changed the fuel line, now trying to get the gum out of the tank and the carb gas was left in for a long time and when I got this saw after he died it started right up with new gas but quit after a short while and I suppose it was from the gum-- what is the best cleaner to clean tank and carb thanks again

I have had good luck using strait gasoline as a cleaner: empty tank, remove spark plug and pull and pull untill you are tired of talking about it!

add new 50: 1 fuel flush thru with plug out. Install plug and see how it goes......

The kit should be availble at most small engine shops just give them that number. I have an old tillotson carb book but it is pretty sad shape but it does have a ref. guide in it.

I think I have found this kit at a local dealer that I have used for yrs. how do I go about getting a copy of the old book like you have-- and what is the cost if it is avail.
