O/T 05 f150 trans line removal

I need a little help here, I don't want ot brake anything. I am trying to remove the transmission cooling line at the radiator. I removed a white clip at the radiator, does the line just pull out of the radiator fitting? Thanks for any help. Stan

Most likely, you need a "line release tool" to get the garter spring or flat clips retracted to the line can come out. Some examples are shown below:

Get the 7 piece,the other thing didnt work well for me and my sons broke very easily

The tools Bob shows will not work on new style transmission lines. The ones you need are smaller. They are normally sold in a 2 piece set.
