on the front wide axle for a "40 allis b, is there some type of thrust washer that goes on the steering knuckle where the front axle rides? here is the axle back from the machine shop, the bushings were shot, and the knuckles were wore pretty good. machine shop re-bushed and repaired the knuckles, but seems like there should be something in there. heres a pic.

If it turns out that there ISN'T supposed to be a thrust bearing in there, it shouldn't hurt to put a teflon washer in there.

Parts book does not show any thing for models after B-100 reguardless of axle type. Oddly enough it does show one for units prior to B-101. Must have been trying to save money.

No thrust washer from standard that i know of. i made a couple of high impact poly-something material. B not finished yet so can't say how it worked, but should be ok. Any others tried similar?
Cheers,
Rex
