animals chewing wood?

Horses in particular. Has anyone had the problem? And has anyone had the problem after used motor oil was spilled? Orrs turned into beavers last year, was gonna replace some support posts with pipe, but have some 4x4's and a shakey bucket of oil.

Put pressure treated in and they'll leave it alone, horse may vary.

We had 2 horses until a couple of years ago on the farm in SC. They loveed pressure treated wood. Had to replace fence with cedar and they left it alone. Henry

There is several products that are sold at regular pet stores, one is called fooey and its extremely bitter. It is in a pump bottle, I once worked in an office where the rats would always be eating through the phone and network lines, so i sprayed all of them down with that, they left them alone after that. Another is called sour apple, it works about as well, it also has the same concept, extremely bitter. I suggest spraying down the boards with that, and they will leave them alone. Also as suggested look up cribbing, and have you had their teeth floated lately? I have heard that will help.
