O/T Economy garden tractor

It irritates me when someone posts something about a garden tractor/lawn mower on this tractor forum, but I'm going to do it anyway. I just bought an Economy with a Clinton engine, serial #593. It has 6.00-22 tractor type tires, and a rear axle that looks like a Ford model A. Any body have an idea what year it is? The engine tag reads model #2500, any idea what the HP is? Where could someone find info on this little "tractor".

Service Pro Parts in Crookston, Mn probably has parts for your tractor and maybe an operators manual? 1-877-381-5004. They're great little tractors. I almost bought a Power King in 1970 but didn't. They were using Kohler engines then. The one I looked at was about $1000. A few years later I went to look at one and the price was up around $7500. That's what killed them. Kubota came along with diesels, fwd, hydraulics, etc., and Economy was history.

My question is why should it irritate you to have Lawn Tractor questions? Their part of the genre.

There is a specific garden tractor forum on the site.

That said, I don't really care. I like lawn tractors much more than the daily political nonsense.
