insulating a workshop

I've been thinking about getting some of the DIY spray foam insulation to do my shop so I can heat it. Has anyone here done it themselves, or is best left to a pro? Looks like the main benefit is it seals up all the little cracks and air leaks, of which I have plenty.

my shop is my garage in 2000 my garage was so bad shape i tore it down and put up a 3 car 25 x 30 with 8ft doors with insulation in walls doors &ceiling covered it all with OSB strand board put a small heater for heat but i found that the floor give heat back from the earth have a bucket of water setting on the floor all winter it dose not freeze with the off until the weather getsdown to 10 degres or less only turn the heat on when i have a large job to do.sure baets the heck out of the old one

Hi Brian . Guy next to my shop has used some for industrial mixers he builds, looks like 2 freon tanks . Pretty pricey , not sure how much coverage he gets out of them . I'm building garage with full story above it ,I'd like to do the same thing. This stuff is great !

I seen some of this guy's work in Marshalltown...

Like others said kind of priciy but sure does work. Website has a cost calculator.

A gunsmith lost his shop to a fire.Built a new metal shop insulated with foam.A hot chip from his metal lathe hit the foam and shop burned again.A couple used spray foam insulation in an old house. They developed a severe allergy to the foam and had to build a new house.
