OT Raspberries

Have some plants one year old. What should I do with them now? Don't have any idea. Never raised before. Thanks. Dave

Just try to protect them from blowing winds. Cover them lightly with straw or leaves or better yet just put straw bales around them & let them get covered with snow. It would be the best thing for them. Just keep the blowing wind off of them & they will be fine. Gerald

barn e,

One other thing, Stark Bros. nursery recommends that you prune the canes that produced this year clear back to the root stock. Next year's canes will produce next year's crop.

Good luck with your berries. Red raspberries are my favorite.
